Ghazal Panahi-Esfandarani

A GRADUAL DEATH OF A DREAM

Migration is a journey of rebuilding while carrying the weight of a fractured past and uncertain future. For Iranian women, forced to leave a homeland burdened by economic collapse, restricted freedoms, and the ongoing internal conflicts between religion and politics, the challenges are immense. A migrant is always a migrant; the new country is not a home but a safe shelter. The loneliness, longing for what was left behind, and struggles to adapt highlight a life of displacement—a life that feels incomplete, no matter where it’s lived.
